Upgrade your first-generation Audi R8 with a custom carbon fibre steering wheel designed to enhance the appearance and feel of the interior.

The vehicle-specific design uses the original airbag and compatible steering wheel controls, allowing factory safety equipment and supported functions to be retained.

Description

This custom steering wheel replaces the original Audi R8 wheel frame with a premium carbon fibre and leather design.

The high-gloss carbon fibre sections create a sharper, performance-focused appearance, while the contoured leather hand grips provide improved comfort and control.

The original airbag, steering wheel buttons, wiring and compatible control modules must be transferred from the existing steering wheel during installation.

Where fitted, the original paddle shifters, trim panels and other electrical components may also need to be transferred.

Retention of multifunction controls, paddle shifters and other steering wheel functions depends on the vehicle’s original specification and selected wheel version.

This product does not include a replacement airbag or steering wheel buttons.

This product is designed for the first-generation Type 42 Audi R8 and is not suitable for the later Type 4S generation.

Compatibility depends on the vehicle’s model year, original steering wheel shape, airbag design, button layout, paddle shifters and electrical connections.

Pre-facelift and facelift vehicles may use different steering wheel frames, airbags, controls and wiring connections, so the correct version must be selected.

The original airbag and any original steering wheel controls required for the selected design must be in suitable working condition.

Professional Installation Required

For correct battery disconnection, airbag handling, component transfer and steering wheel installation, fitting must be completed by a qualified automotive technician.

Restyle can complete the installation at our HQ in Bedford. Mobile installation may also be available depending on your location and vehicle specification.

A callout charge may apply depending on your area, which we’ll confirm before booking.

Airbags are not supplied or shipped by Restyle as part of this product.

We are not liable for airbag warning lights, damaged wiring, loss of steering wheel functions or safety issues resulting from third-party installation, incorrect component transfer or selection of the wrong steering wheel version.
